The Coaching Staff
The Collegiate Development Football League has also assembled a diverse and highly motivated coaching staff. Collectively, our coaches are focused on the belief that a second chance in life can lead to opportunity, and a second chance in football can fulfill dreams. A 1976 graduate of Suffern High School (NY) where he was all-conference wide receiver. A 1981 graduate of Manhattan College (Bronx, NY) with a B.S. in Physical Education. A 1985 graduate of Iona College with a M.S. in Educational Administration. Coach Saint began his football coaching career in 1981 at Warwick High School. He was the varsity defensive coordinator for 12 seasons followed by 4 seasons as head coach for the Wildcats 1981-1996). In 1992, he served as Defensive coordinator as Warwick high School attained a 10-1 record and a New York State Intersectional Championship. In 1997 coach Saint entered the coaching ranks of semi-pro football, he served in both defensive coordinator and head coaching roles for the Nationally ranked, Orange County Bulldogs. In 1998 the Bulldogs capped a 16-0 season culminating in a Garden State Football League Championship. In the 2004 Season the Bulldogs were Empire Football League divisional champs with a 12-2 record , Coach St Lawrence was named Empire Football League” Coach Of The Year” in 2004. Coach St. Lawrence was a founding member of the New York State High School Football Coaches Association in 1992. In addition to coaching, is the author of,” 5 Ways to a Football Shutout, published in 1993, and “The History of Warwick Football” Published in 1996. His most recent book “The Guide for Student – Athletes in the College Recruiting Process,” is awaiting publication. George St. Lawrence served as an assistant coach for the victorious New York High School All-star team in the 2004 Governors Bowl Game vs. New Jersey, 23-6. A member of the Warwick Football Hall Of Fame, he has served as Athletic Director at Warwick H.S. (1984-1989) Valley Central H.S. (1998-2006) and New York State football powerhouse, Monroe Woodbury H. Peter St Lawrence is third generation football coach from a rich family tradition started by his grandfather, Joseph T. St Lawrence, who captained the Cortland Red Dragons (NY) (1932) under the legendary hall of fame coach, Glenn “Chugger” Davis. Fifty-six years later Peter St.Lawrence, captained nationally ranked St Olaf College in (2006). Peter is a graduate of St. Olaf College in 2007 earning a BS in Exercise Physiology. In 2008, Peter St. Lawrence entered the college coaching ranks as an assistant coach handling the receivers at St Olaf. During his playing days he was a three year defensive starter for St. Olaf. The Oles amassed a 24-6 record during his career. From his strong safety position, he was the teams leading tackler over that span. Peter earned all – MIAC league honors in his senior season. A recent inductee to the Goshen High School Football Hall of Fame. Coach P. “Saint ” is a young man of vision, who got a second chance to play football on the college level. Now as a co- founder of the CDFL, he is in pursuit of making opportunities for future college football players.

Coach Green joins the CDFL as a second generation coach from a strong family of Football in the Hudson Valley. Geoff was a Three Year start at Quarterback for the Warwick High school Wildcats He established the New York State Record for single game passing yardage (464 yards) in 1995. He guided the wildcats to a divisional championship. He attended University of New Hampshire following High School.

The CDFL is on the rise under the guidance of Erich Timmerman. Erich received a BS in Sport Management from Springfield College where he lettered and excelled in football. Prior to joining the CDFL Erich Timmerman worked for the Marketing Department of the New York Jets and ProStar Sports Agency. While with the Jets, he assisted with game day operations during the Jets’ 2006 training camp at Hofstra University. Timmerman helped generate over $20,000 in merchandise sales during the Jets’ 2006 training camp during his stint at ProStar Sports Agency in Philadelphia, Erich was responsible for updating the agency’s coaching database, and compiling presentations for negotiations with prospective athletes and coaches. During this time at ProStar, Timmerman worked directly under the renowned Senior VP and Director of Marketing, Warren Schmitt. Erich is a graduate of Goshen High School (2002) where he lettered in Football, Baseball, and Wrestling. During his record breaking senior season he was an all-league selection at wide receiver and defensive back, and led the area in receiving yards and receptions. Timmerman lead Goshen in interceptions during both his junior and senior seasons. His football success continued to grow during his collegiate days. During his career at Springfield College (Mass), Timmerman amassed a 22.8 yards per catch average, which makes him second all-time in Springfield College history .In his senior campaign. Timmerman led the Pride in receiving yards, catches, and yards per catch, receiving touchdowns, kickoff return touchdowns, and kickoff return average.

Jessica recently graduated from Clarkson University with a BS in Business and Technology Management. Passionate about layout design, photography and entrepreneurship, she has built the CDFL website after learning from square one by building several of her own websites. She also provides the league with her freelance photography services, and, like everyoe else, passion and excitement for the CDFL.

Eric joins the CDFL as the head recruiter for the league. He is excited to bring his superior customer service and professional back ground to the CDFL. He is a 1996 graduate of Warwick Valley high school where he played Wide Receiver and Defensive Back for the CDFL Co-Founder Coach George Saint Lawrence. He attended SUNY New Paltz and for the last 10 years has worked in the travel industry. “I look forward to discussing a once and life time second chance opportunity with the recruits.”

Dan is a proud graduate of Minisink Valley High School in 1996, where he lettered in Varsity Football as a senior. Dan attended Orange County Community College where he earned an AAS in Business Management. He then continued on his education at Cazenovia College where he studied under the President of the Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame, William Motto. Dan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management in 2001. For the last 4 years, Dan has worked daily coordinating officials as well as other interscholastic league duties. Dan looks forward to bringing his experience and professionalism to the CDFL.

Eric capped a stellar high school career At Warwick High School with Player -of -the – year Honors in his senior campaign. He attended Division I East Carolina and served three seasons as a collegiate running back running back.

Tim is a proud product of Liberty High School class of 1988 where he was an all – county selection. He attend Cortland State (NY) as a Physical Education major and played football for the red dragons as a linebacker1993-1994 Tim returned to Liberty following his graduation and served as football coach and athletic Director from 1996-2006. During this time liberty was two -time sectional class C champions. His playing days continued with a stellar semi-pro career as captain and leading tackler for the nationally ranked Orange County Bulldogs He was the Empire Football league MVP -Defense in 2005, and a 4-time first team league all-star at linebacker. Tim is currently the Athletic Director for Fallsburg High School (NY) He bring energy and experience and leadership to the CDFL.

Coach Bunting brings his lifetime commitment to football to the CDFL. He has served as a High School coach for over 25 years at both Valley Central High School (NY) and Newburgh Free Academy (NY) His knowledge base is extensive on both sides of the ball. Presently he remains the Defensive Coordinator for the Valley Central Viking sand Quarterback coach. Tinker over the years has made numerous personal sacrifices for the benefit of his players this dedication will continue in his role in the CDFL.

The big man with a big heart, a former collegiate lineman and a graduate of Louisville University with a B.A. in Biology coach Huddleston brings both brains and brawn to the CDFL. With a M.S. in biology from Western Kentucky he represents his home state well. Ralph served as assistant coach in the Semi-pro ranks for six seasons and currently in his second season as the varsity Line coach for the resurging Pine Bush High School Bushmen (NY).

A Physical Education Graduate of Cortland State and known throughout the State as, Coach “I”. Ron has resurrected the Valley Central Football Program over the Last 9 Years as head coach. His tireless efforts led the Vikings to the Section 9 playoffs in 2007. He served as defensive back coach for the victorious New York State All-stars in the 2004 Governors Bowl (NY vs.). At the time of his head coach appointment he was the youngest coach at the “ClassAA” level in the lower Hudson region. He will assist the CDFL on the offensive side of the ball. He is a football leader for the section nine Area, serving as host coach for the prestigious Camp of Champions; the areas best camp for high school player development over the last 2 seasons.

Gus Lawson joins the CDFL with an extensive coaching background in speed and agility dynamics for footballo. His insights and knowledgle in player speed developmnt is grounded upon his present high school coaching duties in both football and track and field.. Coach Lawson is a former graduate of Goshen High School and has returned to his hometown as a teacher of Physical Education in the Goshen, for the past eight years following his early teaching years at middletown high School (NY). Coach Lawson is a distinguished alumnus of the University of Maryland at College Park and he received his M.Ed degree from Xavier University, located in the great football state of Ohio. ” We are excited to have the positive ,outgoing demeanor of Coach Lawson as a representative of our Organization,” states CDFL Co- Founder George St. Lawrence.

Mike joins the CDFL as a defensive coach and as a top recruiter for the league. He brings his hard work ethic and a positive approach to football to the CDFL. He is a 2001 graduate of Goshen high school where he was an all-league Wideout. Prior to attending college he honed his football skills on the semi-pro level with the Hudson Valley Giants and the Orange Bulldogs. He attended East Stroudsburg University and played Safety and graduated with honors with a BA in Sports Management. In his words, “I’ve played football since I was 12 and can’t see myself doing anything else. This is the greatest game on earth and I’m excited to be part of the CDFL.

Rod joins the CDFL in a supervisory role as a member of the CDFL Advisory board . He brings a wealth of knowledge gained from his 45 years of public service an educator, coach, and athletic administrator. Presently, his life long devotion to helping kids continues in his position as Adjunct Professor of Sport Law, Graduate School of Education, Manhattanville College (NY) and as territory manager for CBS Sports/MaxPreps. Rod will lend valuable insight to the CDFL as it ventures forward in providing exposure and quality experiences for its players.
