George St. Lawrence

George St. Lawrence    Co-Founder | CEO | Coach

A 1976 graduate of Suffern High School (NY) George St. Lawrence were he was all conference receiver in his senior year. A 1981 grad of Manhattan College (Bronx, NY) with a B.S. in Physical Education. A 1985 graduate of Iona College with a M.S. in Educational Administration. Coach Saint began his football coaching career in 1981 at Warwick High School. A varsity defensive coordinator for 12 seasons followed by 4 seasons as head coach the Wildcats 1981-1996. In 1992, he served as Defensive coordinator as the wildcats attained a 10-1 record and a New York State Intersectional Championship. In 1997 coach “Saint” entered the coaching ranks of semi-pro football, handling defensive coordinator and head coach roles, in two stints for the National ranked, Orange County Bulldogs. In 1998 the Bulldogs capped a 16-0 season culminating in a Garden State Football League Championship. In the 2004 Season the Bulldogs were Empire Football League divisional champs with a 12-2 record , Coach St Lawrence was named empire Football League” Coach Of The Year” in 2004. George St. Lawrence was a founding member of the New York State Football Coaches Association in 1992, he is the author of,” 5 ways to a Football Shutout, published in 1993, and “The History of Warwick Football” Published in 1996. His most recent book “The Guide for Student -Athletes in the College Recruiting Process“. Will be available in November 2008. George St. Lawrence served as an assistant coach for the victorious New York High School All-star team in the 2004 Governors Bowl Game vs. New Jersey, 23-6. A member of the Warwick Football Hall Of Fame, he has served as Athletic Director at Warwick H.S. (1984-1989) Valley Central H.S. (1998-2006) and State football powerhouse, Monroe Woodbury H. S (2007-present) His mission to guide and motivate young football players, remains his passion, as evidenced in his continuing efforts now, with the formation of the CDFL.

Peter St. Lawrence

Peter St. Lawrence    Co-Founder | President | Coach

Peter St Lawrence is third generation football coach in a family tradition stated by his grandfather, Joseph T. St Lawrence who captained the Cortland Red Dragons (1932) under the legendary hall of fame coach, Glenn “Chugger” Davis. 56 years later Peter St.Lawrence Captains nationally ranked St Olaf Oles in (2006). A Graduate of St. Olaf College in 2007 with a BS in Exercise Physiology. In 2008, Peter entered the college coaching ranks as an assistant coach handling the receivers at his alma mater. During his playing days he was a three year defensive starter for St. Olaf. The Oles amassed a 24-6 record during his career. From his strong safety position, he was the teams leading tackler over that span. Peter earned all – MIAC league honors in his senior season. A recent inductee to the Goshen High School Football hall of Fame. Peter remains a young man of vision in pursuit of opportunities for the CDFL players of the future.

Erich Timmerman

Erich Timmerman Vice President | National Marketing Director | Coach

The CDFL is on the rise under the guidance of Erich Timmerman. Erich received a BS in Sport Management from Springfield College where he lettered and excelled in football.
Prior to joining the CDFL Erich Timmerman worked for the Marketing Department of the New York Jets and ProStar Sports Agency. While with the Jets, he assisted with game day operations during the Jets’ 2006 training camp at Hofstra University. Timmerman helped generate over $20,000 in merchandise sales during the Jets’ 2006 training camp during his stint at ProStar Sports Agency in Philadelphia, Erich was responsible for updating the agency’s coaching database, and compiling presentations for negotiations with prospective athletes and coaches. During this time at ProStar, Timmerman worked directly under the renowned Senior VP and Director of Marketing, Warren Schmitt.
Erich is a graduate of Goshen High School (2002) where he lettered in Football, Baseball, and Wrestling. During his record breaking senior season he was an all-league selection at wide receiver and defensive back, and led the area in receiving yards and receptions. Timmerman lead Goshen in interceptions during both his junior and senior seasons. His football success continued to grow during his collegiate days. During his career at Springfield College (Mass), Timmerman amassed a 22.8 yards per catch average, which makes him second all-time in Springfield College history .In his senior campaign. Timmerman led the Pride in receiving yards, catches, and yards per catch, receiving touchdowns, kickoff return touchdowns, and kickoff return average.

Greg Sirico

Greg Sirico   National Director of Player Development | Coach

The CDFL leadership team is well equipped with the addition of Greg Sirico. “Coach “Sirico brings a long linage of football accomplishments to the vital role of player development for the CDFL. A graduate of Warwick High School (1985), he quarterback the wildcats to a league championship .He attended and graduated from Cortland State (NY) with a dual degree in Mathematics and Physical Education. While at Cortland he was a 4 time letter winner at wide receiver He established numerous game, season, school and career receiving records earning him a unrestricted free agent tryout with the Cleveland Browns in(1990) He was an all ECAC all -star selection and captain during his senior year at Cortland. His return to Warwick High School as head coach (1996) was the beginning of a successful run of 9 years in which he amassed a record of 61-19, sectional class A championships ,5 sectional title games appearances, 6 divisional titles the and 3 kick-off classic victories in the Carrier Dome. Greg serves the New York State football fraternity with his dedicated efforts to support football and players throughout the state. A clinic speaker and organizer, Greg has served as President of the New York State Football Coaches Association. In 2004, coach Sirocco assumed head coach responsibilities for the New York state all-star team in the annual Governors Bowl game vs. New Jersey. Under his leadership New York Defeated New Jersey 23-6. Over the years He has been the recipient of numerous awards for his leadership and coaching abilities. Presently Greg is the Director of Athletics at Warwick High School.

Sheila St. Lawrence

Sheila St. Lawrence   Chief Financial Officer

Sheila comes to the CDFL with broad business experiences and a strong financial background. Her expertise reaches back to 1982 with her employment in the banking industry at Middletown Savings Bank. This financial experience, combined with store and regional management responsibilities for the Tandy Corporation, honed her leadership skills in the business world. Her financial leadership over the years has been honored with awards. Presently, she is a self made business woman who is respected in her community; she serves as President to both, The Goshen Art League and, Goshen Restoration Unlimited. Corporation, a not-for-profit organization.

Jessica Ricco   Director of Technology | Webmaster

Jessica recently graduated from Clarkson University with a BS in Business and Technology Management. Passionate about layout design, photography and entrepreneurship, she has built the CDFL website after learning from square one by building several of her own websites. She also provides the league with her freelance photography services, and, like everyoe else, passion and excitement for the CDFL.

Lynn St. Lawrence   Director of Data and Logistics

A 2005 graduate of Goshen High School, Lynn attended University of South Florida as a nationally ranked scholarship track athlete in 2006. She transferred to Ramapo College in 2007 to accommodate her under graduate major; History. In her first season at Ramapo she was selected all conference in the Pole Vault. With her combined passion for sports, football and history she will serve the CDFL well in her duties to manage all facets of statistical information for the CDFL.

His most recent endeavors have been to the benefit of Division III football powerhouse, St. Olaf College. Peter will bring his professional skills and positive demeanor to our staff in 2009.

Dan Morse   CDFL Coordinator of Officials

Dan is a proud graduate of Minisink Valley High School in 1996, where he lettered in Varsity Football as a senior. Dan attended Orange County Community College where he earned an AAS in Business Management. He then continued on his education at Cazenovia College where he studied under the President of the Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame, William Motto. Dan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management in 2001. For the last 4 years, Dan has worked daily coordinating officials as well as other interscholastic league duties. Dan looks forward to bringing his experience and professionalism to the CDFL.

Ron Intrioni    Offensive Coach

A Physical Education Graduate of Cortland State and known throughout the State as, Coach “I”. Ron has resurrected the Valley Central Football Program over the Last 9 Years as head coach. His tireless efforts led the Vikings to the Section 9 playoffs in 2007. He served as defensive back coach for the victorious New York State All-stars in the 2004 Governors Bowl (NY vs.). At the time of his head coach appointment he was the youngest coach at the “ClassAA” level in the lower Hudson region. He will assist the CDFL on the offensive side of the ball. He is a football leader for the section nine Area, serving as host coach for the prestigious Camp of Champions; the areas best camp for high school player development over the last 2 seasons.

Jim Wright

Jim Wright    Offensive Coach

Jim Wright, head coach from Pine Bush, is the force behind the success, of the return to glory days, for the rich football tradition of football at Pine Bush High School. He is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University in 1992 with a BS in Physical Education. Jim is a well rounded multi- talented football coach. He gained great experience, and was Instrumental in the success of the Orange County Bulldogs semi-pro team during his 2 seasons prior to accepting the coaching chores at Pine Bush. He can coach all positions on both sides of the ball but will concentrate on player development for the offense with the CDFL.

Gus Lawson

Gus Lawson Offensive Coach

Gus Lawson joins the CDFL with an extensive coaching background in speed and agility dynamics for footballo. His insights and knowledgle in player speed developmnt is grounded upon his present high school coaching duties in both football and track and field..  Coach Lawson is a former graduate of Goshen High School and has returned to his hometown as a  teacher of Physical Education in the Goshen, for the past eight years following his early teaching years at middletown high School (NY).  Coach Lawson is a distinguished alumnus of the University of Maryland at College Park and he received his M.Ed degree from Xavier University, located in the great football state of Ohio. " We are excited to have the positive ,outgoing  demeanor of Coach Lawson as a representative of our Organization," states CDFL Co- Founder George St. Lawrence.

Geoff Green   Offensive Coach

Coach Green joins the CDFL as a second generation coach from a strong family of Football in the Hudson Valley. Geoff was a Three Year start at Quarterback for the Warwick High school Wildcats He established the New York State Record for single game passing yardage (464 yards) in 1995. He guided the wildcats to a divisional championship. He attended University of New Hampshire following High School.

Mike McDonald   Defensive Coach

Mike brings intensity and a love of the game to the CDFL in 2009. He is presently the defensive coordinator for Pine Bush High School having attained this status at a young age following three seasons as defensive Back /and special teams coach on the semi -pro level. His get it done work ethic, with a no nonsense approach, will benefit all CDFL players under his guidance.

Ralph Huddleston

Ralph Huddleston   Defensive Line Coach

The big man with a big heart, a former collegiate lineman and a graduate of Louisville University with a B.A. in Biology coach Huddleston brings both brains and brawn to the CDFL. With a M.S. in biology from Western Kentucky he represents his home state well. Ralph served as assistant coach in the Semi-pro ranks for six seasons and currently in his second season as the varsity Line coach for the resurging Pine Bush High School Bushmen (NY).

Tinker Bunting   Quarterback Coach

Coach Bunting brings his lifetime commitment to football to the CDFL. He has served as a High School coach for over 25 years at both Valley Central High School (NY) and Newburgh Free Academy (NY) His knowledge base is extensive on both sides of the ball. Presently he remains the Defensive Coordinator for the Valley Central Viking sand Quarterback coach. Tinker over the years has made numerous personal sacrifices for the benefit of his players this dedication will continue in his role in the CDFL.

Tim Bult

TIm Bult   Linebacker Coach

Tim is a proud product of Liberty High School class of 1988 where he was an all - county selection. He attend Cortland State (NY) as a Physical Education major and played football for the red dragons as a linebacker1993-1994 Tim returned to Liberty following his graduation and served as football coach and athletic Director from 1996-2006. During this time liberty was two -time sectional class C champions. His playing days continued with a stellar semi-pro career as captain and leading tackler for the nationally ranked Orange County Bulldogs He was the Empire Football league MVP -Defense in 2005, and a 4-time first team league all-star at linebacker. Tim is currently the Athletic Director for Fallsburg High School (NY) He bring energy and experience and leadership to the CDFL.

David Coates   Defensive Coordinator

A graduate of Pine Bush High School as an outstanding player he continued his football career on the collegiate level at perennial power Cortland Sate (NY) David returned to the mid Hudson area following his graduation from Cortland with a B.S. Degree in Physical Education he served as a coach in section 9 for nine years. In 2003 he guided Cornwall H.S to the section IX Class a Championship and was selected as the youngest coach ever to be named Times Herald Record “Coach of the Year “for the entire section nine area. For resurrecting green dragon football. David served on the 2004 New York state governors bowl staff assisting head coach Greg Sirico on the Defensive side off the ball as the new York state all star s defeated the new jersey state all stars 23-6. David is currently Director of Athletics at Middletown High School (CLASS AA, NY).

John Garcia

John Garcia   Special Teams | Kicking Coach

John Garcia returned to his high school alma mater following attaining his BS degree in Physical Education from Slippery Rock State (PA) in 1979. In 1981, Coach Garcia took over a struggling football program and in three short years guided Warwick to the OCL league championship in 1984, its first championship in 17years. 27 years later, with numerous wins, team championships and state honored players; he is still coaching the youth of Warwick in the greatest game known to mankind- football. He has coached NFL drafted Dan Orner (K) and will bring this special teams knowledge to the CDFL.

Eric capped a stellar high school career At Warwick High School with Player -of -the - year Honors in his senior campaign. He attended Division I East Carolina and served three seasons as a collegiate running back running back.

Jeremy Beamon   Offensive Coach

Coach Beamon graduated from Middletown High School (NY) where he played Quarterback and Free Safety and also participated in Basketball and Track teams. He then went on to earn a BA in Economics from Lafayette College. Jeremy was a four-year letter winner in football, playing Cornerback. He was a three-time All-Patriot league selection. After graduation Jeremy went on to play three years for the Albany Conquest in the Arena 2 Football League. He is currently teaching Physical Education at Burke Catholic High School where he has been the Head Football Coach for the past three years. Coach Beamon sums it up. "I am very excited about the start of the CDFL. I am looking to help out and share some of my experiences with these players". Welcome aboard coach!

Ed Van Curen   Defensive Coach

Ed Van Curen Jr. - is currently the Defensive Coordinator at John S. Burke Catholic High School in Goshen, NY. He has been with the Burke Football Program since its inception in 2002. Prior to joining the Burke staff, Ed had been coaching at various levels since 1995. Ed attended Kutztown University (Kutztown, Pa) where he played Linebacker at the D-II Collegiate level. Ed also played Linebacker at the Semi-Pro level. The players of the CDFL will benefit from his extensive passion for Defensive football
