 CDFL- Year Round Football

The CDFL offers young men the opportunity to play and train for competitive football year round. This organization operates in three main segments:

  • April – Julyt: The CDFL Mini-Camp and Regular Season
  • September – November: The CDFL Elite Team and CDFL National Tournament Season
  • December – March: CDFL Recruiting, CDFL Traveling Clinics and 7-on-7 Challenges

CDFL activities are open to all 18-24 year old males who are 18 years of age prior to July 6, 2011 and who are not 25 years old prior to September 1, 2011 through the registration list.

The CDFL Camp and 2011 Scout Bowl

The CDFL Mini-Camp and Regular Season is a hybrid camp-Scout Bowl prep. Players register for the 4-Day training camp/combine.  This concludes with the CDFL Scout Bowl in July 2011.  All Stats ,player information, and game DVD will be distributed to 178 CDFL affiliated colleges, semi-pro , and pro teams. . At the conclusion of the  camp/combines, the coaches draft players to 2 teams. There is no guarantee you will be drafted, it is purely based on your performance. These drafted players make up the Scout Bowl players and go on to play on the New York  team during the fall CDFL National Tournament. Additional information and detailed stats, evaluations, and game footage for these drafted players will be utilized for player advancement .

The 2011 CDFL Scout Bowl which includes the 4 day Mini-Camp &Combine costs $400.00 per player and includes workout gear and game jersey which all players keep.  There is an additional fee for the  pre-season tryouts of $25, all players are guaranteed to be in the game on a first come first chosen basis. All players are responsible for their own gear. The CDFL can supply equipment at a discounted rate for purchase only.  This includes Helmets .

The 2011 CDFL New York  National Tournament Team

The CDFL Elite Team is a traveling team comprised of the best athletes from the previous CDFL Scout Bowl season. Additional players from the previous tryouts and evaluations may participate in the Fall Tournament season. All athletes must tryout and be selected to for the New York CDFL Elite Team. The team is limited to a maximum of 30 players and positions will be filled on a first come/first serve and need basis. Open Tryouts will be held in April-July 2011 at the Main Field of the Joseph T. St. Lawrence Sports Complex in Hillburn N.Y.  The team will practice weekly on Tuesday evenings, 7-9 pm and play a series of games leading up to the 2011 National CDFL tournament to be held in December, in Salem, Virgina prior to the 2011 D 3 Senior Classic game.

Tryouts cost $25.00 per player.  All players are responsible for their own gear which is available for purchase from the CDFL . NOTE: TRYOUTS FOR THE 2011 CDFL New York  ELITE TEAM have not yet begun.

CDFL Tryouts, Clinics and 7-on-7 Challenges

The CDFL staff will host tryouts and 7 on 7 play-days beginning in April 2011 . All athletes are welcome to attend . There is a $25  fee for each tryout/7on7 , players will be invited to attend the CDFL Mini-Camp, Scout Bowl and Fall tournament Season based on a stand-out performance.

Tryout/7on7 costs per 2 hour session $25.00 .

Also, mail in the following forms:

  • Player Agreement Form
  • Documentation of Age (copy of birth certificate, driver’s license, passport, etc)
  • Emergency Medical Form
  • Adult Waiver
  • A doctor authorized physical must be submitted to the CDFL prior to the start of any season. (The physical date must be within one year of the due date).
