Providing opportunity for young men to advance from high school to college was achieved by the CDFL in 2008. For the college player trying to get a crack at the pros, the CDFL’s Collegiate Bowl Series answered the call by completing 22 showcase bowl games from 2009 to the present. However, in April 2014, the CDFL will afford yet another chance to help young men follow their gridiron dreams. 

This chance comes in the form of the International Scout Bowl. The ISB was born from the realization that there is a need for one more scouting opportunity before the NFL draft. In addition, this game provides the final opportunity for players who did not perform well in their pro-day or combine, have been excluded by injury, or have been overlooked to this point to participate in such events. With American football growing rapidly in Canada, Europe and Asia, US players need to showcase themselves on a global stage to an international audience.

​The CDFL is adding to the its established relationships with the North American and European leagues to create a game that provides the final opportunity for the best free agents available heading into the upcoming 2014 seasons. The International Scout Bowl is the only game available in the spring of 2014. The game is designed to promote international players to international markets. The selection process is by invitation and is extremely competitive. The rosters are limited to provide maximum playing time for the participants. In addition, the ISB serves as tryout #1 for TEAM AMERICA. Players competing in this game will comprise the roster for  EAC 3 which will take place in the fall/winter of 2014. The first EAC was played on September 1st 2012 in the new Warsaw National Stadium in Poland. 31,000 fans were in attendance as the CDFL’s TEAM AMERYKA and TEAM EUROPA squared off in this historic moment on national television. Polish national hero Lech Walesa performed the ceremonial coin toss and gave a memorable opening speech that set the tone for the rest of the night. On December 20th 2013, EAC 2 was played in Myrtle Beach SC as the opening event for the rest of the CDFL’s Collegiate Football Weekend to follow. TEAM AMERICA is comprised of top U.S. free-agent football players looking to sign a contract to play overseas or in North America. TEAM EUROPA will include a selection of the top football players from across the continent of Europe
It is no secret that the international pro football leagues have made huge strides over the past decade and are continuing to grow at an accelerated rate. Football is rapidly becoming a sport that is no longer confined to the borders of the US. Although this growth has proven to be exciting and beneficial, the opportunities for American players and foreign GM’s to gain true access to each other are still scarce. The CDFL’s INTERNATIONAL SCOUT BOWL was brought into existence to bridge this scouting gap. This does not preclude all the leagues in North America. As proven by the success of the CDFL in helping players sign domestic pro deals, scouting (especially in the NFL and CFL) from post-season bowl games and combines such as the ISB has increased tremendously over the past few years. Teams now realize that scouting the amount of football talent in this country is far more than they can handle. The ISB makes searching for that “sleeper,” “diamond in the rough” or “second chance” guy mush easier and effective. This event provides the following to help players and GM’s get to know each other: - Sending invite letters/player information packets and game film to all pro scouts
- Hiring ex-NFL players and top collegiate coaching staffs to coach - Holding a traditional 11-man outdoor football combine as well as a 8-man AFL/indoor football custom combine. - Holding personal workout sessions for the pro scouts throughout the duration of the event - Opening up all practices and workouts to media and scouts - Posting all the rosters, game reports, stats, combine results, pics etc. on our website for easy scouting access. - Live streaming the game on our website for worldwide broadcast and viewership - Utilizing all social media platforms and partnerships with international football scouting and news organizations such as,, etc.
