CDFL Elite- 21 Connecticut Ravens- 12

The CDFL Elite team improved its record to 3-0 with a hard fought victory over the Connecticut Ravens of the New England Football League 2 on Sunday evening in Hillburn New York. The CDFL opened the scoring on its initial possession with a 14 yard scoring run by running back David Telesco. Lawrence Coe added the PAT for a 7-0 CDFL lead. The Ravens responded with a 98 yard interception return for a touchdown by DB Ray Bernardo. The conversion failed and the first quarter ended 7-6. Terrell Burnettt extended the CDFL lead with a nifty 58 yard punt return in the second quarter . Olsen St. Louis added the PAT for a 14-6 CDFL lead. the Ravens answered with a 23 yard Td pass late in the quarter to bring the game to a 14-12 halftime score.

For the CDFL offense the receivers were lead by 5 catches from Willie Calhoun and nick Perez who had a 34 yard catch to set-up the final CDFL TD. Quarterback Colin Doyle lead the winning CDFL squad completing 9 of 19 for 123 yards against a stingy swarming Raven defense. Top rushers for the CDFL wwere Ty Landrum, David Telesco , Mike Grey and Terrell Burnett.

The second half was dominated by defense from both teams. CDFL running back Michael Grey, scored on a tough 6 yard run to cap the scoring off at 21-12 to end the third quarter. Lawrence Coe Added the Pat. The CDFL ended the game with 5 interceptions , one each from ; Randy Burnett, Ty Landrum, Myshun Logan, Jarid Valenti, and Lamont Brown. The Valenti interception return was for 63 yards and set -up a CDFL score. Herbie Mann added 3 sacks for the CDFL defense along with one sack each from Anthony Vechione, Jimmie Pierre, Gerald Merald, and Rashaun Rawles. Linebacker Ken Thomas and Anthony Vechione each had 7 tackles in the game.
