The Collegiate Development Football League completed its player draft tonight in front of a packed house of 225 people at the league headquarters; DoubleTree Hotel in Mahwah, New Jersey. Honored guests were presented with a “Thank You” from George and Peter St. Lawrence, Co-Founders, for the help and support in getting the CDFL from a dream to a draft in one year. What followed was a showcase of football talent with the following four players selected as First round , top picks by the CDFL league coaches. First overall pick in the 2009 CDFL Draft was Tyrone Landrum, WR/QB, Staten Island, New York by the Orange Pride. Second overall pick was Marcus Davis, RB, Oakland Ca. by the Bergen Bears. Third overall pick was Colin Doyle, QB, New Jersey by the Rockland Rattlers . The final first round selection, and fourth overall was Anthony Carillo, QB, Hillsdale, New Jersey, by the Westchester Nighthawks. Photos of the draft follow.
