The league offensive playbook and off season manuals have been completed for the 2009 season . The CDFL offensive playbook is designed for wide- open action specifically showcasing collegiate level formations and plays . All teams in the CDFL will utilize this “standard playbook”. This concept allows for and assists in highlighting player skills while allowing for more accurate player comparisons for league rankings . The design of the league playbook is to showcase players skills whether it be offensive lineman in pop up protections or the trapping game to spread sets with an empty backfield. The emphasis will be on quickness at all positions and athletic abilities.
